On 2 July 2018, the World Heritage Committee inscribed the Chaîne des Puys-Limagne Fault on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
This prestigious recognition wouldn’t have been possible without the full backing and involvement of the whole territory: the public sector, the scientific community, management personnel, economic stakeholders, the media, cultural and sports clubs, and not forgetting all the local associations and support from 55,000 citizens.
The inscription opened a new chapter in the history of the Chaîne des Puys-Limagne Fault and it is now our collective responsibility to help conserve the site, make it flourish and pass it on to future generations. For this to succeed, it is important to foster recognition at a local, national and international level and to generate a collective and enthusiastic approach.
Your involvement is crucial for this to succeed !
